Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2022 Volvo XC60- Video

Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Volvo XC60, we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT trailer hitch receiver. Before we get into that though, we'll just take a minute, check out this hitch, and make sure it's gonna be the right setup for you. So believe it or not, we actually get quite a few of these Volvos in the shop here at etrailer, and it seems like people do a lot of different things with them, from using accessories to pulling trailers around, or even a little bit of both. So having a hitch back here is going to allow you to get those types of tasks done. I do wanna address one of the main questions that we get asked in regards to putting a trailer hitch on the XC60, and that is, will the hands-free liftgate assist feature still function And the answer is yes, as long as you kick your foot to either side of the receiver tube opening, the hatch will open up like it should. more

Draw-Tite Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Volvo XC60- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're installing the Hidden Hitch hitch receiver on a 2023 Volvo XC60. Now our hitch is installed on our Volvo, and the great part is, is it's gonna be perfectly hidden when just driving around until you need to put your accessories in place and that's where you're gonna drop in your receiver. Now this is a two-inch by two-inch receiver opening, so for those bike racks, cargo carriers, or whatever you may be loading onto your Volvo, this is a great option. And it's pretty easy here. There's just a twist knob that's going to engage this. We'll just raise this up, pop it down. more

Today, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver here for our 2021 Volvo XC60.If you're worried about your hands-free lift gate still working, that's not going to be an issue for the Stealth Hitch. Our sensor is actually over on the side here, so the hitch actually wouldn't be blocking it in any way anyways. But just to show you, it does indeed still work.The best feature, in my mind, of the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver is that we have a removable receiver tube here. We're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver here for our 2020 Volvo XC 60.So this is what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed. As we can see here, it has a very nice factory-like finish here. The majority of our trailer hitch is actually going to be hidden behind this bumper here, so the only part that's going to be visible from outside the vehicle is the receiver tube opening here.This is going to do a couple of different things. Number one, as we mentioned, it's going to provide us with a very clean finished install look, and number two, the receiver tube opening is going to sit super close to this bumper here. So it's going to give us the best ground clearance.Our trailer hitch here has a class three rating, and what this is going to do is it's going to provide us with the larger two inch receiver tube opening. more

Adding a hitch to your Volvo is going to make your vehicle much more versicle. You can add a bike rack, you can add a cargo carrier, you can pull a trailer. And in that bike rack, you'll be able to put bikes on the bike racks that have happened to try to load them inside the vehicle or put them up on a roof rack. Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Volvo XC60- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Volvo XC60, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 3 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76194.The nice thing about it is that that cross tube's going to be completely behind the bumper and al we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out of the bottom. Now it is a class 3 hitch which means that it's going to give us that 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, and we're going to have a wide variety of options available. You have all sorts of different kinds of accessories that we can mount up.Now the way we're going to mount all our accessories is using the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept standard 5/8 pin and clip and while these aren't included in the kit, you can pick them up here at e-trailer.com or a variety of locking devices to keep your accessories safe. Now you'll notice that the Draw-Tite has a secondary toward the back of the receiver here. That's going to be used exclusively for the J pin stabilization device, which is going to be an anti-rattle device that's made specifically for this kind of hitch, and you can pick one of those up here at etrailer.com.As far as the safety chain connection points go, we're going to have a loop style, but they're going to be on either side of our receiver tube which is going to be nice because they're not going to interfere no matter really what size hook we have. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Volvo XC60 - Draw-Tite- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Volvo XC60 we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class 3 Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver, part number 75671.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now one thing you'll notice about this hitch, the majority of it is concealed behind our rear fascia. We only have a little bit sticking out at the end of the frame on each side. One nice feature that this hitch has that others on the market don't is we have this tab here that's welded onto the frame of the hitch. Now what this tab does is provide us with a connection point for any of our electrical harnesses that we may have in order for us to tow our trailer.Welded onto the bottom of our receiver we have our tubular steel safety chain loops so we can hook on our safety chains from our trailer. One nice thing about these is we can clip them in on the front, the side, or the back. more

The more clearance you have, the less interference you're going to run into.Now, what we're looking at is the difference between our hitch pinhole and the rear most part of our back bumper. On this particular Draw-Tite hitch, the hitch pinhole is the closest to our back of the bumper. more

As you'll notice our hitch is tucked up nicely behind our fascia.On the side of our hitch you'll find our industry standard five-eighth of an inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip on our website with part number PC3. On the back we have this collar here which gives us a nice, finished look and helps reinforce the opening of the receiver. Welded onto the bottom are our rolled steel safety chain loops to secure any of our safety chains from our trailers when we're towing.This hitch features a 400 pound max tongue weight rating which is the amount forcing down and a 4,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating which is the amount it can pull. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2011 Volvo XC60 we will be having a look at, and showing you how to install, the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75671. Here's what our hitch looks like installed.Now, what's really great about this hitch is that it sits up nice and tucked up behind our bumper cover, so when loading cargo into our hatch area we don't have to worry about running our shins or knees into the hitch. It's also tucked up high against the fascia, so it's mostly hidden behind the fascia itself.This hitch has one unique feature that a lot of other hitches for the XC60 don't have. We have this bracket that's welded to the hitch itself, which provides us a mounting location for any of our wiring harness needs, such as a four way flat, or a seven way RV connector; all expends on what wiring you need to tow your particular trailer. We have multiple options available for you at our website.On the side of our receiver you'll find two holes, the larger one, closes to the front of the vehicle, that is the industry standard 5/8" hitch pin hole, to secure any of your hitch mounted accessories. Today in our 2016 Volvo XC60 we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the hidden hitch, custom fit, Class 3 trailer hitch receiver. This is part number 87566. Here's what our hitch is going to look like installed on the vehicle. As you can see most of our cross tube here is going to be completely hidden behind our bumper, just going to have a very small sliver there that you might be able to see if you look down under the car. We've got our 2 X 2 receiver tube opening. See the reinforcement collar around the end has that rounded look to it Safety chain connection points here. This is going to be a round steel stock. Plenty of room there, I feel like, for getting whatever safety chains connected you're going to need. You also see our dual pinhole set up. more

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is approximately 7 inches. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 13 1/4 inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now to begin with, we're going to need to remove two rubber exhaust hangers here at the rear of the vehicle. more

Next we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is 7-1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 13-1/4 inches. This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack or cargo carrier. We'll now go ahead with the installation. To begin our install we'll first need to remove the exhaust hanger and rubber isolators. more

Today on our 2011 Volvo XC60, we will be installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver in a class 3 with a 2-inch opening on the receiver, part number 13268. Heres what the hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we will go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch-pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is approximately 7 inches. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 13 and inches. Lets go ahead and install our hitch. We will begin here by removing the rubber isolator from each side of the muffler. To do this we use a little bit of spray lubricant and a large pry bar, to work the rubber isolator off of the metal hanger. more
